This piece is visually demonstrative of how I experience the world through emotions. The colors are very vivid, as intense as the highs and lows that result from being emotionally hypersensitive. The amount of energy exuding from the piece itself shows which end of the spectrum I was at while creating it. Its sequel is "Hypersensitivity"
This is my 15th deviation for the 100 Theme Challenge. ([link]) ...The theme for this piece is "Change"--Variation 4, Theme 4. I gave this the theme of "Change" because it looks to me like an underwater cave-like playplace where the walls are temperature-sensitive and the water is colder as you travel further from the viewing point. Far-fetched, I know. But that's what I see! What do you see?
Love the texture, and shapes you've used. Not exactly sure why you posted it in Traditional Art / Paintings / Abstract, but i'm glad you did becasue i probably wouldn't have seen it otherwise.
I am so like you...I too experience the world through emotions...this is a wonderful piece and I love your concept and you've really given that sense of fun with the vibrant rainbow colors that we all are mesmerized with, merging together but yet having their own distinctive seperation, giving excitement and energy to this piece.
Your talent not only as an abstract artist, but with your medium is amazing!! You manipulate the pastels to create a visual softness in your blending techniques and laying down subtle arrangement of colors to give light and shadow effects...VERY NICE WORK
WOW, it means so much to receive such a compliment from such a talented pastel artist!! I may have died and gone to heaven, lol. THANK YOU! (I'm dancing in my seat, seriously)
Ah that is so kind of you Funny to think I've only been painting with pastels for about a year...and still learning new stuff about them Thanks again, that is the sweetest compliment and I seriously mean what I said I have such respect for someone like yourself who can think outside the square and create beautiful abstract
